Sounds familiar? This would explain situations such as:
1) You dominate the 1st half. In the 2nd half, simple passes that worked in the 1st half don't work anymore.
2) You've already taken 10+ shots. The opponent GK keeps making more and more saves, shots are going wide or hitting the post.
3) Late goals by opponents who only had 1-3 shots or very low possession.
I was the type of player who liked to dominate possession and take shots. 1) and 3) happened to me A LOT, and I had no idea why until seeing this code.
Then I started my experiment. I pulled a 180 with my playing style. I lowered my possession and shot numbers on purpose. Even if the opponent was really bad, I would clear the ball back to them to balance the possession, or opt against taking a wide open shot early in the game. You're probably thinking, OK you're giving the ball to your opponent on purpose? That doesn't make any sense!
It was unbelievable. I went 9 games unbeaten, and before that I was struggling to win just 1 game. So what was going on? By not meeting any of the conditions in the code by keeping my shots low, etc. in the 1st half, I could "unleash" myself and play the 2nd half with no restrictions. My passes worked as intended, good shots resulted in a goal and not get saved, and my defense was hardly making any errors (resulting in no BS goals conceded). It's been 2 weeks and when I employ this tactic my games have been much less frustrating. There were a few games where I went back to high shots/possession, and wacky stuff happened again - this can't be a coincidence.
